Trade Ocean Shipping Services (Pty) Ltd was formed in 2006, as a legal vehicle to buy-out TRT Ships’ Agency from ZA Trans, a division of the Barloworld Logistics group. Included in this negotiated buy-out was a division of ZA Trans that functioned as clearing agents and was designed to meet the specialised requirements that accompany the shipping of perishable products within the industry.

We strive to continue the legacy of service excellence within our shipping agency, in addition to the clearing and forwarding industry as a whole. Today we offer a range of shipping services, including ships’ agency, customs clearing, freight forwarding, and logistics services, and act as customs clearing agents through our offices in Durban, Cape Town, Johannesburg in South Africa and Walvis Bay, Namibia. We also operate via reliable partners in many smaller Southern African ports.
